At Cristina’s house

A project in continuous evolution, which transforms day by day

This is a project in progress, in continuous evolution, that transforms itself day by day. It is an eclectic home where contemporary design objects, iconic products, 50s and 70s pieces, vintage, objects of memory and affection coexist in harmony.

“This house is in fact a mix of all the elements: materials, objects, styles, colors that I love and the concepts of my way of designing. I find it beautiful and welcoming to live with colour, and here colour is a constant presence in the various environments. I believe that the home should represent the personality of those who live in it as much as possible. My job is to be able to give the best shape to the desires and dreams of those who have to live in the house. Creating interiors for the sake of it is a passion that I express in all my projects.”

The furniture is provided by Colla Arredi.

Materials

The dark wall in natural Marmorino, on which a large raffia panel with the same colour tones rests, serves as a background for the headboard of Cappellini’s “Bed” bed, which has been covered with yellow Zimmer Rhode velvet. The coffee table is by Kartell and the lamp by Astep.

Details

A detail of the top of the Flexform Table, “Fly”, In gold calacatta marble combined with family chairs in Teak wood covered in yellow velvet.

The selection of the marble was made by choosing a slab with the characteristic gold veins in evidence.

The Home Office

The 50’s bookcase in Teak wood is integrated in an environment with aluminium table and technological materials in a Vintage Mix and contemporary furniture.

A timeless style

A restyling of the lamp designed by Gino Sarfatti in 1951 for “ArteLuce”, relives with Astep a new look using modern LED technology.

The lamp is perfect in this context where vintage ’50’s’ objects and contemporary design coexist.

Astep is the company founded by Alessandro Sarfatti, the son of Gino who maintains the family tradition.
