The challenge was to create two apartments from one small attic space. It was not easy to meet the clients\u2019 requirements considering the pre-existing heights and lighting ratios; we had to take exposure and solar factors into account during the design phase because natural light is very important and influences our perception of comfort, but the result is very pleasant. In 70 square meters there is a study, a guest bathroom, a laundry area, a bedroom with direct access to the second bathroom, and a large living area where there is a large table for dinners with friends. One enters directly into the living area that is open to the kitchen, which has two passages to the terrace and this allows the interior space to expand. Here a pergola with a white roll-up fabric canopy and green water-repellent cotton curtains protect from the sun during the hottest days; the tables and chairs are from the Desalto company.<\/p>\n
